Summer Wine Picnic

Following the success of our Wine Festivals at The Unitarian on Ullet Road in Liverpool over the past few years, we're delighted to be hosting a Summer Wine Picnic at our favourite hidden gem, the beautiful gardens and terrace of Ullet Road Unitarian Church.

We will be bringing you a selection of 30- 40 of our favourite wines from across the new and old worlds, some organic, some biodynamic, some vegan wines and some that aren't but we love them anyway. All of the wines we will be showcasing will be great examples of their place and style, handcrafted by passionate producers. This is a family and dog friendly event.

This relaxed event isn't a formal wine tasting its designed for you to enjoy a range of wines that you might not usually try, with friends in a beautiful building and if you fancy having a chat about the wines or want some tips about how to taste in a more structured way we can do that too.

Our focus at this Summer event will be on seasonal lighter bodied reds, whites, orange wines and sparkling varieties.

We will have live acoustic music & turntable spinning some of our favourite vinyl to keep you entertained. This is a bring your own picnic event, go all out, break out the fancy hamper and all your favourite treats. We'll have some crockery and cutlery available and would ask that you shop local as much as you can. We'll also have recycling bins available.

We will have limited bench style seating on the terrace and plenty of space on the grass for your picnic blankets and deck chairs. If its a chair on the terrace you are after please make sure to select a terrace ticket when you book. Seating will be at long festival style shared tables so if you are a bigger group best to come along earlier. We rely on everyone sharing and making space for each other.

Tickets are £10pp and include entry, your first glass of wine and then you can choose to buy as many glasses as you would like. We serve all the wines in tasting sizes priced between £2-4 depending on the variety which makes this a great value way to try lots of wines at the same time which will challenge your palate and highlight all the different styles and flavours of the wines.

All of the wines will also be available to take home at discounted prices from our bottle shop.

We are cashless and only accept card payments.
